Falling in Love with the Accompaniment

A deviation: I have been working on memorizing Neshama, and the Left Hand accompaniment to the interlude has been haunting me. I think it is asking to become its own melody; At this point I don't have much objectivity about whether this line could serve well as a melody. I often fall in love with an accompaniment. How do I know if it is memorable enough; sufficient enough. What makes for a good melody?
