Week 8 Musings; off my course, into the Blues

My second week’s homework in the DHC Blues Webinar, and I liked what I produced; the beginning melody was catchy and stayed with me. Put my harp up on a chair to play the homework, and it was liberating, and seemed to be a good change from sitting for hours at the harp.

STANDING AT THE HARP, PLAYING THE BLUES

Again, just like week 1, I had fun. Played with DHC’s recorded back up, in a very different way than I usually do; smiling, moving a lot. It took a half minute or so to get with the backup, partly because it was hard to hear. And this effort is not perfect, but I “did” the homework assignment, meaning I checked off the box, so I could move on. Like getting around a mark in a sailboat race. You just need to get around the mark in the water, and set your sights for the next one. Meaning I don’t have the time I need to let week 2 settle in.

DHC Ha! I love how you gave the instrument your seat to liberate yourself physically! I'd love to know more about getting around a mark in a sailboat race.

Alexandra Putting the harp up on the chair is like having a treadmill desk.

The marks on a sailboat race course are what you sail around. Once you round one mark, you set your sights on the next.
